The Renegades defense collected four sacks and nine tackles-for-loss, and allowed no pass completions. Linebacker Allie Genereux had a monster game amassing 21 combined tackles, a career high.

This was the first trip to Detroit for any Boston Women’s Football team. The Dark Angels welcomed their guests with an onside kick which Detroit recovered, but they were forced to punt six plays later.

After the Dark Angels turned over the ball on downs, Boston again turned to its running backs. Bonds ripped a 27-yard run, and an 11-yard dash. #22 Ruth Matta then caught a short screen pass and turned it upfield for a 27-yard touchdown. Matta also scored twice in the third quarter on rushes of 22 and 42 yards.
