We couldn’t be more proud of our Renegades who competed at 2022 IFAF Women’s World Championship in Vantaa, Finland. We are proud of how you represented your nations, and we are proud of how you coached and played.

Chanté Bonds’s versatility was on display as the only player to record rushing, receiving, and passing yards, while posting tackles on defense and return yardage on special teams. Chanté passed for a touchdown in the gold medal match.

Stephanie Pascual had the second-most receiving yards on Team USA, and a team high 13 receptions. Her 13 catches were also the most by any player in the tournament. She scored a receiving touchdown in the gold medal match.

Donny Fournier lead Team USA in tackles-for-loss with 4, including a sack. She was second on Team USA in total tackles.

Tytti Kuusinen lead all rushers in the tournament with 277 yards (92.3 ypg). She lead Team Finland in touchdowns (4), tying her for second tournament-wide. She also gained the most all-purpose yards of anyone in the tournament, the only player to surpass 300 all-purpose yards.

Ruth Matta led Great Britain in rushing yards, return yards, and all-purpose yards. She led the entire tournament with 116 kick return yards.

Hillary Crook and Stephanie Jeffers started all three games on the O-Line for Team USA. Whether starting or not, every Renegade played in every game.

In the end, 11 of our 12 Renegades earned medals. Heather Marini, the only Renegade to finish without a medal, helped her Team Australia to its first-ever victory in international competition — a historic accomplishment.

Organized by the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), the 2022 WWC will take place in Vantaa, Finland from July 28 to August 8. This marks the fourth such international women’s tackle football tournament, with previous tourneys in 2010, 2013, and 2017.
