BOSTON – Eleven players from the Boston Renegades have been recognized as First Team All Americans by the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). The complete All-American team rosters were revealed on the WFA’s website on June 11.
First Team players are invited to represent the league’s National Conference at the WFA All-American Game in advance of the WFA National Championship Game. Both games take place on Saturday, July 25, 2021 in Canton, Ohio at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in the Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls.
2021 Boston Renegades All-Americans
Vanessa Aukshunas #40, Kicker
This is the first All-American selection for the rookie Aukshunas. She is the league leader and a perfect 22-for-22 on extra point kicks. Prior to joining the Renegades, Vanessa was captain of the Chelmsford (Mass.) High School girls soccer team and also ran track. Aukshunas pursued racquetball while studying at UMass Lowell and was an offensive MVP in the Merrimack Valley Flag Football League.
Chanté Bonds #21, Tailback
Earning her eight all-star selection in nine seasons, Chanté Bonds is a Top 3 rusher in the Pro Division with 401 yards and 9 touchdowns. Prior to her football career, she was an outstanding basketball player at Brockton (Mass.) High School. Bonds later helped Bentley University Women’s Basketball to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2003 and was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Northeast 10 Conference.
Allison Cahill #7, Quarterback
This is Allison Cahill’s thirteenth consecutive all-star selection. She is the league leader in most statistical benchmarks for quarterbacks including yards (793), completion percentage (76.1%), touchdowns (16) and rating (145.7). Cahill remains the only women’s football’s quarterback to have reached 100 career victories. A basketball star and all-time leading scorer at Uxbridge (Mass.) High School, she went on to play point guard for the Princeton Lady Tigers before pursuing football.
Tee Creech #5, Kick Returner
This is Tee Creech’s fourth overall All-American selection, but her first as a special teamer. She has scored two punt return touchdowns while averaging 38 yards per return. Before joining the Renegades, Creech was a top player on the Philadelphia Phantomz. She was a standout basketball player at James B. Hunt High School in Philadelphia, and a collegiate basketball player at Goldey-Beacom College.
Hillary Crook #75, Offensive Line
This is Hillary Crook’s second consecutive All-American selection. She attended Jacksonville University where she was a three-time American Sun (ASUN) Conference indoor shot put champion. She is also a two-time ASUN Conference outdoor shot put champion. Prior to college, Crook was a three-time champion in Massachusetts for shot put while at Mansfield (Mass.) High School, where today she teaches health and physical education and coaches field events for the track and field program.
Danielle Fournier #70, Defensive End
This is Danielle Fournier’s second consecutive All-American selection. She has 27 combined tackles, 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and she leads the league with 2 blocked kicks. Fournier played rugby at the University of New Hampshire, where she graduated in 2014. At North Andover (Mass.) High School, she played basketball and had a stellar softball career where she was named a team captain, Rookie of the Year, and a Cape Ann League All-Star.
Spring Gamble #23, Linebacker
This is the second All-American selection for Spring Gamble and her first to the First Team. She has 21 tackles and returned a fumble for a touchdown so far this season. Before joining the Renegades, Spring was a veteran of the Philadelphia women’s football scene. She excelled in athletics from an early age, garnering recognition in youth baseball, youth football, and youth track and field in the city of Philadelphia. In 2019 she became the first female head coach in the history of Philadelphia’s famed Liberty Youth Athletic Association (Pop Warner).
Allie Genereux #52, Linebacker
Genereux has earned her fourth All-American selection in as many years. Allie is the Pro Division leader in combined tackles (37), adding 2 sacks and two fumble recoveries, returning one for a touchdown. Genereux transitioned from basketball to football while at Greenfield (Mass.) High School and has stuck with the sport since. Prior to joining the Renegades, she helped the New England NightMare to the U.S. Women’s Football League (USWFL) championship game in 2015.
Jessica Hayden #55, Offensive Line
Earning her first All American selection, Jessica Hayden has developed into an outstanding blocker in her second season. She played collegiate softball at the University of Southern Maine where she was an all-conference player in 2013, and is in the Huskies’ record book being top 25 all-time in doubles and RBIs, top 20 all-time in HRs, and top 10 all-time in putouts. At Madison (Maine) Area Memorial High School, she was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball and softball.
Stephanie Pascual #3, Wide Receiver
This is Stephanie Pascual’s first All-American selection. She is Top 3 in the league in receptions (18) and has scored 5 touchdowns so far this season. Pascual excelled in field hockey at Proctor Academy and then Mount Holyoke College. She was named to the all-conference field hockey team her senior year. Pascual is Mount Holyoke’s all-time leader in penalty strokes made, and ranks in the top ten all-time in defensive saves.
Adrienne Smith #10, Wide Receiver
Also a two-time gold medalist for Team USA, Adrienne Smith proves her mettle year in and year out. A threat to score from anywhere on the field, Adrienne is Top 3 in the league in receiving touchdowns (6) and has gained 214 yards on 12 catches so far this season. This is Smith’s ninth all-star selection.
