Alan Lockhart was a beloved veteran coach of both men’s and women’s football teams around Boston. His coaching experience included the New England Intensity, the New England Storm, the Boston Bandits, and the Randolph Oilers. Lockhart played for the Oilers of the Eastern Football League until an injury cut his playing career short, after which he turned to coaching to stay involved with the game he loved. He joined the Renegades coaching staff in 2015. Coach Al was hospitalized for several years following an automobile accident that left him paralyzed in 2016. He passed away on May 29, 2021 at age 65.
